Abbey of Fontdouce
Located between Cognac and Saintes, Fontedouce is a Benedictine abbey founded in 1111 in the hollow of a valley, between vineyards and forests. Since 1970, the Abbey of Fontdouce has been the object of a continuous restoration in order to give it back all its original splendor in a preserved natural setting.
Between Romanesque and Gothic art…
Fontdouce organizes every year exhibitions, concerts, singing courses and many other activities… Not to mention the Classical and Jazz Festival which takes place at the end of July.
Since 2013, an adventure park in the Fontdouce valley welcomes you with 8 courses in the hundred year old oaks, 3 zip lines, 1 net labyrinth and 1 outdoor laser game… Enough to live unforgettable moments in family.
